are the 80s really over??

i tried to think of something that would get spooner all riled up, but nothing really came to mind (that i actually wanted to get in trouble for that is, i can always just go on and on about how much i love bush. that's a guaranteed uproar!)

so i tried to think of something even more random, but somehow i still came up with nothing.

i did come up with a question i've been pondering lately...who decides that fashions are "in"?

i mean, who decides that ugg boots, or crocks, or rainbow sandals are fashionable? crocks, though very comfortable, lightweight, and pratical, are not the most appealing to the eye...they do kind of look like gardening shoes. and has anyone else noticed that most fashions come back around? the cardigans, khakis, kind of preppy look is really just an updated version of the 50s. so does that mean that the 80s is going to come back? i'm always up for an 80s party, teasing my hair, legwarmers, and pokadots...but really only for a one night stand kind of thing. i don't think i could take having to crimp my hair every day again.

i'm not going to lie, it kind of worries me that the 80s will come back into fashion and i'll have to wear spandex with over-sized shirts. it really was not the most flattering era. i think it would be best for everyone if the 80s stayed just that, a decade...not one of the fashions that makes a come back.
